Q. Are the villas at Samui Beach Village self catering like I've seen on other sites?
A. No, at Samui Beach Village we pride ourselves on providing guests with 5 star ‘hotel style’ services, so you can relax and we’ll do all the work for you! Unlike other villas on the island or in this development, we exclusively manage our villas with a personal touch, where no request is too much.
If you would prefer to purchase your own provisions, we offer a shopping service both on-site during your holiday and a pre-arrival shopping list where you can select what you would like and we will ensure that it is all ready in your fridge and cupboards when you arrive.
Having a manned reception and 40 on-site staff means when you book an Samui Beach Village villa, we can provide you with an array of services such as private Chef, massage, beauty treatments, driver, pre-arrival shopping, car hire, photographer, personal trainer and much much more.

Q. What facilities are available for children?
A. Samui Beach Village cater for children and infants alike and have cots/play pens and high chairs available for guest use. We also have a variety of pool toys, inflatable's, board games and beach games available. We also offer a babysitting service for those days or nights when you need a small break.
Each villa also comes with satellite television, DVD machines and we have a number of family/children films in our DVD library for guest use. Some villas even have Play Station 3's (please check upon reservation).
There are also a number of attractions nearby Samui Beach Village and on the island such as Samui Aquarium & Tiger Zoo, Butterfly Garden, Coconut Monkey Show and Go Karting. Please see our Activities section on our website for a list of all available activities.
Q. Is there a babysitting facility?
A. Samui Beach Village is pleased to offer a babysitting /child minding service. Our babysitters have experience with children of all ages and will keep your children entertained. English speaking is subject to availability.
Q. What is the beach like at Samui Beach Village and in Samui?
A. The beach at Samui Beach Village is a long clear stretch of white sand in both directions and with hardly a soul on it for the most part, it feels like your own private beach!
In the winter months the ocean forms a large lagoon which is ideal for kite boarding and swimming.
During the spring and summer months of Samui, the low tide is set back opening up the beach for walking and exploring the many rock pools and marine life that inhabit them. Perfect for the kids!
Less than 15 minutes away are many more beaches such as Lamai and Chaweng. There are plenty of water sports to be enjoyed (such as jet-skiing & canoeing) as well as great swimming for all.
Q. Is there a phone in the villa?
A. In each of our Luxury Villas and Ocean Rooms, we have provided a mobile phone to make life easy for you. The phone comes pre-set with all the numbers you will need during your stay such as the Guest Relations Manager’s number, driver service, taxi service and food delivery service.
When you arrive we will provide you with the mobile phone number which can be used for friends and family alike to contact you during your stay.
If you would like to make international calls on your mobile (cheaper than using your mobile from your home country!), you can purchase more credit for the phone from our Reception/Office at any time.
Q. Is there a restaurant nearby?
A. Yes. We have our Clubhouse Restaurant on-site which offers delicious Thai cusine as well as all your Western favourites, we even have a children's menu to keep the young ones happy and full!
We also have a beachfront restaurant offering both Thai and Western cuisine, where you can eat with the sea breeze dancing across your skin.
There are also a number of other restaurants close by.
Q. Do we need to bring beach towels with us?
A. Samui Beach Village happily provide you with beach towels during your stay and refresh them as needed or requested.
Q. What is there to do in the local area?

Q. What is the best currency to bring?
A. Depending on the exchange rate it is better for you to change your local currency at home before you leave to THB (Thai Baht)

Q. Is Wi Fi available?
A. SBV is happy to provide Wi Fi free of charge in all of our villas. We have our own Wi Fi network set up specifically for SBV which is reliable and fast. Furthermore, we have a system manager available on call if technical assistance is required.
Q. Is air-conditioning and electricity free?
A. All electricity and water services are free of charge during your stay.
Q. What shops are nearby?
A. Close to SBV is a 7/11 as well as the Muslim Fisherman’s village where you can purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood as well a variety of souvenirs.
Q. What plugs and adaptors are available, and what is the voltage?
A. Thailand's voltage is 220-240AC, 50 Hertz. The plugs in Thailand are not standardised -- there are at least three different types, some two pin, some three. SBV can provide you with universal adaptors to suit.
Q. What services are available at Samui Beach Village?
A. We have a countless number of services available to guests to ensure your stay is exceptional and you can relax. These include but are not limited to babysitting, laundry, tours, car hire and tours. Please see Luxury Services for a detailed list of what we can provide.
Q. What is the cost of taxi to Lamai or Chaweng?
A. A taxi (one way) to Lamai will cost you 400 baht and a taxi to Chaweng (one way) will cost you 700 baht (including service fee and tax). We can also arrange for car hire (delivered to your villa door) which works out better economically if you plan on exploring the island.
We also have a complimentary shuttle bus service that runs twice daily from Samui Beach Village to Lamai for your convenience.
Q. What is the best place for water sports and swimming?
A. If you want to explore further than Samui Beach Village's 3 large outdoor swimming pools and the Clubhouse, there are several beaches on the island which are brilliant for swimming and waters ports. At Chaweng beach you will find the best of both, but if you’re after just a swim, look no further than Lamai beach just around the corner from SBV.
Q. We are celebrating an occasion, can Samui Beach Village help us organise it?
A. SBV are happy to organise cakes, fireworks, Chinese lanterns and other pieces to make your special day a celebration! Please let us know your requirements at time of booking. Q. How will transfers work, how long do they take and how much do extra transfers cost?
A. Transfers to and from the airport start from US$40 each way, approximately 800 baht, unless otherwise specified at time of booking. For large groups, the cost will increase depending on the number of passengers and the number of trips required. Please speak with our Sales Specialists for more information.
Q. Does Samui Beach Village charge for payments made via credit card?
A. Yes, there is a 3% fee for credit card payments both at time of booking and if you choose to pay for items with your credit card during your stay at SBV. We also accept bank transfers at time of booking, for which there is no charge.
Q. What is included in the private Chef Service?
A. Eak our fantastic Chef, as well as waiting staff are included in the service. They will come and cook/set up your table/serve at your villa for breakfast, lunch, dinner or meal time of your choosing. Meals can be tailored to suit your needs. Chef Service is 2,000 baht food costs at menu prices.
Q. What food delivery services are available?
A. We have an In-Dining Delivery Service/Menu which has both Western and Thai dishes available to suit all tastes. You simply order from your menu and the food is delivered to your door. A delivery fee may be applicable.
Q. What is included in the continental breakfast?
A.Samui Beach Village is pleased to offer you a complimentary continental style breakfast with a variety of fresh local fruits that are in-season such as watermelon, pineapple and pomelo (mild grapefruit type fruit), a selection of yoghurts, cereals, coffee and fruit juice. In addition we offer breads and delicious pastries which change daily accompanied by an assortment of jams. Furthermore eggs, bacon and sausages are served for those who are looking for a more hearty breakfast!
Breakfast is served at our stunning open-air Clubhouse Restaurant from 7-10.30am daily.
Alternatively why not use the Private Chef Service for a small fee and have breakfast cooked in your villa where you can enjoy all your favourites from home such as french toast, pancakes, bacon & eggs and more… the choice is yours!
Q. Are there any government taxes or charges in Samui that we should be aware of?
A. Yes. Thailand is subject to a government tax on all purchases and services called VAT (7%). If you keep your receipts, there are a number of things you can reclaim as you leave Thailand. You will see signs at the airport letting you know where to go and what to fill out to get your VAT refund.
At Samui Beach Village and the majority of the restaurants hotels and spas on the island, you will encounter a service charge. This service charge is given to the staff at the end of every month for all the hard work and service they provide to the many tourists on the island. The service charge at Samui Beach Village is 10%. We thank you for your understanding and helping us give back to the people of Thailand.
