Weddings are very popular on the gorgeous tropical island of Koh Samui. June and September until November are the best months for those who are looking for a cost-effective celebration as flights and our accommodation prices are more affordable. January through until April as well as July and August are also popular months weather wise for weddings as the sun is shining!
We only ever do one wedding per day.
The sooner the better! Ideally, overseas weddings are booked 9 to 12 months prior to the wedding celebration date. "Save-The-Dates" are typically sent straight after booking your accommodation with Samui Beach Village and locking away your wedding date. You can then start sending invites to your guests with our Wedding Coordinator's email address to arrange accommodation & other requests.
We recommend advising an RSVP date of 2-3 months after sending the invitations. This allows guests to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements, as well as getting deposits paid and arranging time off work.
Please remember you also need your RSVP's returned to get the final numbers to help you with your planning and your budget for your big day.
A deposit of 50,000 THB will secure your date and we can start organising your big day. Unfortunately we cannot confirm any reservations without a deposit.
Unfortunately we have a minimum stay of 3 nights for the Bride & Groom. Of course we encourage all your guests to stay with us so that your entire wedding party is together and can offer special wedding rates that are competitive.
You & your guests can stay in your own private self contained villa with up to five bedrooms to ensure a cost effective stay. Breakfast is delivered to your villa every morning & you have a daily maid service to clean for you!
We have many facilities available to our guests; tennis court, gym, games area with pool table, ping pong table & large screen TV, large swimming pool & kids pool with pool bar, a spa, clubhouse restaurant and of course room service available from 8am to 10.30pm delivered directly to your private villa.
Samui Beach Village can cater for up to 100 guests.
Usually your ceremony will start at 5pm before the sun goes down when its starting to get a little cooler. After the ceremony is the perfect time for your guests to enjoy canapés and drinks whilst you are having your photos taken. Dinner is usually served at 7pm or as requested.
Thailand can be prone to heavy rain at spontaneous times of the year. We encourage our guests to hire out Orchid Restaurant for their reception, which can then be used for the ceremony if rain occurs. Orchid Restaurant is the ultimate beachfront venue for your wedding day as it is open-air which is exclusively yours for the day and evening. Orchid Restaurant can be hired for 20,000THB.
You can update our Wedding Coordinator every 3 months with confirmed numbers as you receive them, this will help you with your budget. Final guest numbers are required 3 weeks before your wedding day.
We prefer to have the bride & groom to be at Samui beach Village at least three or more days prior to the actual wedding day to help finalise all details and have clarity with all arrangements.
If you have a colour theme and a style of wedding you envision then this help us to create your perfect day you’ve always dreamed of. This also helps other arrangements fall into place, like choosing your dress, venue and many other aspects.
Your Wedding Coordinator will be at Samui Beach Village at your arrival time to greet you. A meeting will then be arranged with you and any questions you may have will be answered as well as being given a 'walk through' of the day.
Our Wedding Celebrant will also have a pre-meeting with you to discuss the order of the ceremony (i.e. where the groom, best man, bridesmaids are to stand, if there will be readings or poems from your family etc) .
If you have a large bridal party a run through can be arranged the day prior to your special day.
Yes! If some of your wedding guests are staying in other villas, such as the best man or family, then the groom will usually "borrow" one of these rooms to get ready in. The bride will get ready in the villa that they booked along with bridesmaids, father and mother of the bride and flower girls.
Yes, you can choose flowers in season, including types and variety of colours. Our packages include local flower decorations and imported flowers are available but some requests may have to be flown in from Bangkok and extra charges will apply.
The best way to ensure you get the flower arrangements you have envisioned is to email through some photos of what you have in mind and Wedding Coordinator can then check availability and cost for you, liaising with you until you are completely happy with your floral arrangements. A deluxe floral upgrade can be added to your package at an extra quoted price depending on your choice.

The upgrade package is available to those who are looking for specific flowers like roses, lily’s etc that are not native to Thailand. Depending on availability of season & if we can source them from Bangkok to be flown down on the day of your wedding, we can obtain most flowers and will provide a quote upon request.
All of the floral arrangements in your chosen package will be upgrading to use these specific flowers.
The deluxe upgrade can also be used for those wishing to keep the local flowers but to increase the number of arrangements and sizes of arrangements - you may wish for larger local flower arrangements, drapes of flowers lining the arch & trailing down to the sand, large tear drops sprouting out of the bamboo beach arrangements trailing down the poles, small banana leaf cups of petals on the backs of your chairs so your guests can shower the bride & groom, strings of flowers to decorate your reception etc.
Pricing will depend on the flowers you choose,and the configuration of arrangements. A quote can be easily organised with our Wedding Coordinator so you can budget accordingly.
The set-up cost includes all hands on deck including staff to transport and set up tables, chairs, glasses, cutlery, wiring of sound systems to the beach, cleaning of the beach, decorating and building your arch on the beach & or to your reception area and anything else that is required by additional staff to create your perfect day.
Yes, we offer a babysitting service 24hrs. If there are quite a lot of children in the party, what we usually do is to assign a villa for the children where they can play together and watch DVD´s etc. Some guests prefer to have their kids babysat in the comfort of their own villa as by this time it is familiar to the kids. Don´t worry we have multiply babysitters available to tend to your needs throughout your stay.
Samui Beach Village has three reception venues for you to choose from for your wedding day - Orchid Beachfront Restaurant, our function room and your villa. A great selection of wines, mixed drinks and cocktails are available for you to choose from to be served at any of these venues. We have many "open-bar" packages to suit all budgets. Please speak with our Wedding Coordinator to find the perfect package to suit your needs.
No it does not. Thai law states that a wedding ceremony is permitted regardless of actual marital status. Some couple choose to perform the "legal" part of the wedding in their home countries and then celebrate the symbolic ceremony here with us. What we do is provide a replica of the Thai marriage certificate for you to sign in front of all your guests on your wedding day. Religious or non-religious ceremonies are a very special symbolic ceremony and are not legally binding. These symbolic ceremonies allow the couple to express their love in their own way, their exchange of vows and rings. Unfortunately when we take your deposit, we block off your wedding date and any other enquiries or bookings we receive for that day are turned down so any monies already paid to samui beach village are non-refundable. however, we do recognise this as a credit owing to you to be used at a later date of your choosing, within a one year period. this credit can also be transferred to friends or family if you cannot use it within the designated time frame.
